Equity realization
Equity realization is the percentage of theoretical equity a hand captures after position, playability, pressure, and future bets are considered.
Why it matters
Out-of-position hands and dominated draws often realize less equity than calculators suggest.
Example
A suited connector can realize equity well when deep and in position, but poorly when shallow and facing aggression.
Trainer cue
Before calling, name the turns you can continue on and the turns that force you to fold.
